Rowing the Atlantic, Roz Savage

Rowing the Atlantic

By Roz Savage

Last night I had the opportunity to go into Seattle to hear Roz Savage speak about her book Rowing the Atlantic.
What an inspirational story! Here's a woman who one day sat down and took a look at where here life was headed and decided to do something different. She had the courage to change! I don't want to give away too much of what happens in her journey but I will share that she is the first woman to row competitively across the Atlantic Ocean for 103 days! Can you imagine being out in the ocean all by yourself for 103 days? Roz mentioned that when you are on the ocean that long that your mind creates your reality. I'll bet it does!

Through her book tour Roz wants to inspire others to follow their dreams. "Don't be held back by fears. When you have a reason for doing something you'll figure out the how". She is also very active in environmental issues and is participating in several conferences her thru the end of the year.

Roz actually "tweets" and "blogs" from her boat and is working on rowing across the Pacific Ocean and has already completed two stages! Now wouldn't this be fun to be working and then get a "tweet" from someone that is out rowing in the Pacific! Is that wild or what?

Here is the link to Roz's official website. I hope you'll take a moment to read about her journey in her own words. She is truly a remarkable person and is leaving a wonderful legacy.
