Making our lives easier!

I have been so busy lately that I haven't had a chance to post here in the blog! In the last couple of posts I've shared how I felt the month of January was spinning away and I really didn't have enough time to get everything done! Well... as you may recall, I made "the list" and actually was able to cross a lot off and felt quite good about accomplishing something! Had I not sat down and wrote out that list a couple of weeks ago I may still be swirling around between work, kids, and home projects!
One of the other things I did was bring out the 'ol crock pot. You know... the one that sits way back in the cupboard? Bring it out, dust it off and plug it in! I can not tell you how much this appliance has saved me time and money by planning out my meals ahead and plugging it in prior to going to work.
A blog site that really inspired me to get started was A YEAR OF SLOW COOKING she has a very interesting story and shares some great recipes to get you started.
I plan on starting my list for February here soon and hopefully I'll have some book reviews to share with you soon.
What I'm reading Live Your Bliss by Terry Cole-Whittaker. Amazing person and wonderfully authored.

Heidi Baer Harmoney Prosperity Law #16

Prosperity Law #16
The Greatest of these is Love
"Love is the greatest force in the universe. Applying love to everything you do causes your path to unfold smoothly and draws your dreams in the perfect way. Expand your ability to love and you will create magic and harmony in all your affairs"
I realized that it had been some time since I'd pulled one of the Harmoney Cards and thought it would be fun to pull one this morning and turn some energy!

How fun that I pulled this one as I was thinking this morning how close it was to Valentine's Day!

Try applying love to everything you do today and see how much better you feel tonight! Ok... maybe hard to apply love to cleaning the bathroom but you can try!

Have a great day!

Making Lists

So how are you doing on your new years resolutions? I didn't have any for this year but I sure had a lot of things that I wanted to have done now by mid January. Guess what? I haven't gotten any of them done! With my job in the new year there is a particular ramp up which takes a great amount of "thinking time" and I believe it's had me procrastinating on other aspects of my personal life! These little jobs are just not getting done! Which is totally not like me.
What's a girl to do? Make a list! It's been a long time since I've felt overwhelmed and needed to stop and make a list. I was looking this morning and would you believe there are a ton of web sites out there ready to help you make lists for money? Wow.
So for me this morning while having breakfast I'll be doing the 'ol list! Fortunately, I already have my books on order at the library so soon I'll have some great postings on wonderful books that have come to my attention that needed reading. Next week I'll be on two five hour flights which will give me plenty of time for reading and postings!
What is on your list?

Chinese Proverb for Today

I heard this Chinese Proverb today and thought it summed up the beginning of the year beautifully.
Think about it. Are you afraid of standing still?

New Year, New Adventures!

New Year and New Adventures!
While everyone is thinking of their New Years resolutions.... when the new year comes I'm thinking of making things HAPPEN. My motto is that if you don't make things happen then you'll just sit around!
I found this great site a couple of months ago called Edible British Columbia.
They had some amazing things to do in Canada and one was a Gourmet Kayaking trip in the Canadian Gulf Islands. It sounded wonderful in 2009 and the trips were booked. So... when 2010 rolled around I figured no one was going to beat me in the sign ups this year!
I signed up yesterday to go on the Gourmet Kayaking Trip! It gives me chance to get some great exercise and eat some wonderful food by the sounds of it! Nothing like not feeling guilty about eating after a hard day of kayaking!
I'll be developing not only my physical capabilities for this trip but my photography skills! Looking forward to taking some great pictures.
I can't wait to show you the photos later on this summer!
