Computer issues!!!

Yikes! Can you believe that my work and home computer crashed the same week! Wow! I got a double whammy in one week! Sorry for the lag in postings! I have a couple of books that I've read since I last posted and I'll be posting them in the next couple of days! Books I've wanted to read for quite some time and finally checked them out at the library!

But for now here is a pull from the deck of Heidi Baer's HarMoney cards:

Prosperity Law #8

I Experience Happiness and Satisfaction from Within

Happiness and satisfaction are not qualities that depend on outer circumstances, nor do they come from the future or the past. Each moment is a magical experience when you realize your fulfillment lies within.

Books to look forward to :

The Wisdom of your Face, Jean Haner

Excellent book!

Quote of the day, Something to think about

"Arrange whatever pieces come your way"
- Virginia Wolf
How are you arranging the pieces in your life?
With grace?
The picture above was taken out my front door this week at sunset. I love that we face west and see a wonderful sunset each evening.

Excuses be Gone, Wayne Dyer

I'm sure by now you've heard of this book by Wayne Dyer? I had but hadn't picked it up at the store yet. However, Sunday evening I was channel surfing and I stumbled upon Wayne doing a talk on this very book for a PBS fundraiser. Wow! What a talk and a wonderful book. It just so happened that I had my notebook close by and I was sitting there just like in school taking notes, highlighting and underlying.
What is your biggest excuse for change? Wayne starts the discussion by going over the top eighteen reasons submitted to his website as to why people don't want to change. Here are a few:
a. Don't have enough time
b. I'm too old
c. it will upset everyone if I change, cause family problems.
d. too expensive
Any of these sound familiar?
He then walks you thru the paradigm for change , and then some affirmations for you to practice for the above excuses.
It was an amazing discussion and if you can catch on your local PBS station please sit down and watch with a pad and paper. I've looked over all my notes and there are too many to highlight in one post.
However, I will highlight something he did mention that I'll leave you with today:
Think from Awareness
With God all things are possible
I can handle this, I am not alone.
If you know that all things are possible and you are not alone, why would you not want to change?

Cycle the Wave

Cycle the Wave
September 20, 2009
All proceeds benefit Eastside Domestic Violence
On Sunday I had the opportunity to participate in a great ride , Cycle the Wave benefiting Eastside Domestic Violence. This the second year they have put on this ride and what's really fun is that it is an all woman's bike ride. There were women of all ages and abilities out there riding to benefit a great cause. What a great way to get your exercise in before noon and help someone!
Cycle the Wave has three ride to choose: 25 mile, 40 mile, and 66mile! I chose to do the 25 mile ride since I had to be done by noon! It was a great morning and excellent ride! Perfect fall weather! Next year come out and join me! Although I'll be training for the 40 mile!

I brought home a new baby tonight!

Tonight I brought home my first baby!
No... I didn't go to the hospital and pick out a newborn to go! I went to Bellevue and picked up a
Glassybaby!
Finally!!
The new store opened in Bellevue, Washington and I was there this evening for the open house!
Wouldn't miss it!
One of the things I like best about these adorable glass blown votive:
they are made locally
it is a woman owned business!
every year the company chooses specific designs and donates 10% of the sales from that glassbaby to go to a specific charity.
The Glassybaby I chose was Grandma Jane's Caramel
10% from the sale of each votive will be donated to support a nursing student at the University of Washington School of Nursing. Now how cool is that!
My photo doesn't do the votive justice!
check out the website!
I may have found a new addiction!

Sister's Folk Festival & The Sandra James Music Foundation

On a gorgeous Saturday this past weekend, Rhonda and I from the board of the Sandra James Music foundation passed out 240 CD of Sandra's Music and from our recent 2009 International Songwriting Contest. For those of you that don't know about the foundation. I grew up with Sandra James. She was a musician, songwriter and loved to convey her messages thru her music. She died five years ago of ovarian cancer but before she passed away she formed a music foundation so that she could continue to do good works in communities and people would continue to hear her music.
The purpose of the board is to get her music out to be heard! So to pull people to the web site we have had for the last two years and international songwriting contest where people listen to her music and write a song which conveys the messaging Sandra tried to convey in her music.
We also help students go to camp, get music lessons and do projects which support the environment.

Here is the CD for 2009, Peace, Love and Joy. You can learn more about the Sandra James Music foundation by going to our web site, www.sandrajames.com You can also request a CD from the site which is a gift to you.

Some Testimonials

Three weeks ago I had a urinary tract infection. I did Access and then I repeated the use of one of the techniques, Body Chemistry. The UTI cleared up that evening. I have since had 2 others tell me of their UTI's that were gone in a day using this method.

The Body Chemistry technique works by making your system aware of the virus/microbe/toxin/fungus. This works on colds, flus, food poisoning, anything that may be harmful or invasionary. It's like having a piece of parsley in your teeth, you don't know it's there until you look in the mirror or someone tells you. Once you see it, you address it. Best of all, you don't have to know what you're dealing with. You do the technique and it does the work and your system mounts the appropriate response. Simple and done. This technique is what started BodyTalk when it addressed Dr. John Veltheim's chronic Epstein Barr. Within 3 days he was free of the virus.

With all the concern about the swine flu, wouldn't you like to know you have something in your toolbox (and your own hands) to take care of it? See more experiences below.

BodyTalk Access is a set of 5 self healing techniques (excerpted from the full BodyTalk System) that can cover up to 60% of what a person or family may encounter in a month; brain optimization, nervous system relaxation, viruses, bacterial infections, pain reduction, injury and trauma healing, learning disorders, and more... It's simple to learn and the results can be astounding. You leave this fun and fast paced class with a healthcare package in your hands.

7 CEU credits given for Massage Practitioners through the NCBTMB and 7 STARS credits for preschool teachers

Pass it on, we'd love to have everyone doing the Cortices technique. http://bodytalksystem.com/learn/access/cortices.cfm
Warm Regards. Pat.

"I talked my Mom through (over the telephone) the Cortices technique I saw on the video you sent. She was having a seizure which was working its way up her body and it stopped midstream and they have not returned." Ellen from Pat's Access class in Winthrop, WA 6/21/09

“... Just had to tell you this. I am out babysitting a friend’s two kids. They told me that the two-year old will still be awake at 9.30! I did not think so!!!!! As soon as his parents left I tapped out his Cortices and he was asleep in four minutes. WOW! ...Love JoB.”

From my class in July with an extended family of 12: One of the kids cut themselves with a kitchen knife the next day, her brother did Access on her and the bleeding stopped immediately. They were thrilled to have their own 'story'. The day of the class, all I heard was 'too many stories' from the kids. I think they did just Cortices.
I clipped my doggie's nail too short and had a gusher. Halfway through Cortices, the bleeding stopped. Pat S

I had a real Fast Aid experience about a week a half ago. I was slicing limes with a knife that I had just sharpened, The knife slipped off the lime, and buried itself deeply into my fingernail. Ouch. I tend to bleed a lot when I am cut, and it started gushing. Then I thought – Great! a good opportunity to try out Fast Aid!

The Dollar Bill, A modern day parable

A torn and ragged one-dollar bill discovered that it was about to be retired from circulation.

As it slowly moved along the conveyor belt to the shredder, it became acquainted and struck up a conversation with a fifty-dollar bill that was meeting the same fate.

The fifty began reminiscing about its travels all over the country. Life has been good," the fifty exclaimed. "Why, I've been to Las Vegas, the finest restaurants in New York, political fund raisers, and just returned from a cruise on the Caribbean."

Gee," said the one-dollar bill, "you're fortunate to have been able to visit all those places."So where all have you been in your lifetime, my little friend," says the fifty?"

"Well, I've been to ..the Methodist Church, the Baptist Church, the Episcopal Church, the Presbyterian Church, the Lutheran Church, the Catholic Church, the Orthodox Church, the Assembly of God Church, the Brethren Church, the Quaker Church, the Pentecostal Church, the Charismatic Church, the Mennonite Church, the Church of Christ..."

"Excuse me," says the fifty, "but what's a Church"?

Sept 1, Back from vacation and back to School!

It's back to school after a weeks vacation they are finally headed back today to school! Yeah for mom! It was a short summer with lots of activities but it's time once again to buckle down. Gone are the days when you could walk them to school and get a picture of them lining up for class! I had to take this picture out the car window! I'm really good at embarrasing my children!

As you can see the kids are not at all thrilled that mom still wants to take their picture before they head out the door. With the front yard redone and the wood railing gone we had to have a new spot to stand. No more gaging their size and height by the wood railing any more!

Pictures below from last week. Fun in the sun for the kids. Pool time, golf, tennis and ice cream.
